Find work in Canada's Financial Centre

Toronto is the second largest financial centre in North America, and is home to the head offices of Canada’s five largest banks. The city's financial business district is the most built-up area in Toronto, and is home to numerous corporate head offices, banking companies, legal and accounting firms, and insurance companies and stockbrokers. It is the financial heart of Canada. Tall towers dominate the skyline, and almost all of them connect to the city’s underground walkway, known as PATH. It is estimated that 100,000 commuters enter and leave this area each working day. Countless opportunities abound.

Opportunities for advancement abound

Toronto is continually ranked atop international indexes for its competitiveness, innovation and liveability. It is a diverse, pro-business city that prides itself on a government that is committed to developing and supporting local business. Very few cities around the world are able to offer the same level of multi-sector strength, talent depth and economic drive that Toronto possesses. It is a financial engine for entrepreneurship, innovation, and professional growth.

Ontario alone is home to 330 parks that cover 9 million hectares of land that attract over 10 million visitors each year. It also contains more than 250,000 lakes that contain approximately one-third of the world’s fresh water. Its varied landscape includes the rocky Canadian Shield, fertile farmland in the south, and grassy lowlands in the north. As Canada's second largest province, Ontario is bound by Quebec to the east, Manitoba to the west, and Hudson and James Bays to the north. It is such a large province that it actually spans two time zones.
